I’ve been thinking about starting a new mini series of little DIY projects – updating those ugly but practical every day items around your house! So I finally got my butt in gear and started by giving a thrifted, plain white utensil holder a faux ceramic makeover because that fits in a bit better with my style right now! It was so fun to try to work out how to do it and I love how it turned out. Plus it only cost a few dollars! 🙌
I tried mixing a little pepper in to the paint and in photos it looks a little dirty 😂 but in real life it honestly gives it a much nicer texture and tone like natural clay.
What you need:
- plain utensil holder
- spackling
- putty knife
- paint
- paint brush
