*To simplify, I’m labeling the colors as numbers and will refer to the numbers during the pattern.
*Because everyone has slightly different tension with knitting/crocheting, it is best if you measure each section while working on the piece and after you finish it, to be sure that the whole project ends up being the same width. (I had to learn this the hard way multiple times.)
Section 1 (2″ x 15″)
4.25 crochet hook and color # 1. Bobble stitch(using 5 double crochet for each bobble).

Section 6 (1.5″ x 15″)
8 mm crochet hook and color # 3.
Modified V stitch. Chain 20.. Turn your work, HDC 2 stitches into 3rd chain from your hook. (Slip stitch into next stitch, 2HDC into next stitch)* repeat until end of row, ending on slip stitch. Weave in all ends.
Section 7 (1.5″ x15″)
US 7 knitting needles and color # 1.
Again using the Garter stitch for this section. Cast on 62, knit 13 rows and cast off. Weave in all ends.
Section 8 (1″ x 15″)
You will need the 10 mm crochet hook and color # 4.
Kept this one super simple for you guys. Chain 24, weave in all ends.
Section 9 (3.5″ x 15″)
You will need the US 7 knitting needles and colors 1 and 2 for this section.
I used the basic Garter stitch for this section. Approximately 2″ of color # 1, and 1.5″ of color # 2. So all you need to do is cast on 62 stitches, knit 16 rows using color # 1, switch colors, and 11 rows of color # 2, and then cast off. Weave in all ends.
To put everything together:
Sew the sections together using a tapestry needle and yarn. When I sewed the flatter sections to the bulky sections, I would sew my tapestry needle into the bottom of the bulky sections, to allow the full texture of the bulky sections to show through.
Tassels:
Measure out sufficient lengths of 18″ strips of color # 3, and attach to the bottom of the wall hanging, folding yarn in half. I attached slightly towards the back of the wall hanging so it wouldn’t be obviously showing.
Attach to wooden dowel using pieces of color #1.Did you notice the knit pillow in these photos? You can make that too!
