For the last year I’ve thought on and off about turning the living room into more of a loft-style bedroom/living space. The bedroom in the apartment is super tiny so I thought it would be nice to have a bit more room and natural light. Plus waking up to a bunch of plants is always good in my book! So we teamed up with AllModern and I snagged a few really beautiful pieces to make this space come together!
I haven’t had a nightstand in years because of how small my bedroom is here and at home it was just a weird spacing issue so I am so excited to have this sweet midcentury modern nightstand by the bed now! For those that like everything to be completely symmetrical (🙋♀️), I’ll apologize in advance. Since it’s just me, I had to convince myself that I didn’t need two nightstands or two sconces. After styling everything I ended up really liking it – plus it’s far more practical and useful this way!
I wanted to keep things simple on the nightstand so that it’s practical for the every day uses of holding my drinks and my charging phone. So I started with a brass wall-mounted light and lined it up with the edge of the bed and the nightstand. Then I created a bit of height on the opposite side of the nightstand to balance the height of the light and added this amazing vase and some dried eucalyptus. Which matched perfectly with the taupe-grey linens and throw that I got. But probably my favoriteee piece is the beautiful rug that just ties everything together!
